当地时间9日下午4时47分，培养了日本众多重量级男星，以及诸多男性偶像组合的日本杰尼斯事务所社长Johnny喜多川（Johnny Kitagawa），因解离性脑动脉瘤破裂导致的蛛网膜下腔出血，在东京一所医院去世，享年87岁。

据日媒报道，6月18日，喜多川因蛛网膜下腔出血，被紧急送往医院。过去3周以来，众多事务所所属艺人纷纷探视弥留之际的喜多川。杰尼斯事务所发布讣告称，他们像喜多川的“孩子”一样，谈论着他们与“男团教父”之间的点滴回忆。

“The time Johnny spent with them at the hospital was precious,” the statement reads.

“Wrapped in the love from his children, he closed the final curtain at 4:47 p.m. on July 9, 2019,” the statement said.

One of his final wishes was that “this world would continue to be peaceful and full of hope so that people could continue to enjoy entertainment,” the company said.

喜多川本名喜多川擴(Hiromu Kitagawa)，1931年出生于美国洛杉矶。童年时期的喜多川多次随家人辗转于日本和美国之间，并于上世纪50年代定居日本。朝鲜战争其间，喜多川曾在美军服役，教孤儿们英语。

1962年，喜多川受美国音乐电影《西区故事》的启发，组建了4人男性组合“杰尼斯”，创立了“杰尼斯事务所”。

Over the years he honed a strategy of making sure the bands he created, after holding open casting calls to recruit and then train his musicians in singing and dancing, became cultural icons through a combination of appearances on television variety shows in addition to concerts and recording sales.

He recently worked as the executive producer for the Japanese movie "Shonentachi" released in March this year.

He was the subject of numerous allegations of sexual misconduct. In 1999, Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun published a series detailing accusations of child abuse and sexual exploitation made by several boys under his wing.

他曾背负多项性行为不端的指控。1999年，日本杂志《文春周刊》发表了一系列关于他手下几个男孩指控他虐待和性剥削儿童的报道。

However, he was never charged with any crimes on the basis of the allegations.

Kitagawa sued the Shukan Bunshun and was awarded damages, but the judgment was partially overturned on appeal with the court ruling the magazine had sufficient reason to publish the allegations of sexual misconduct. A subsequent Supreme Court appeal by Kitagawa was rejected.
